Accessibility Statement
I want my counselling service to be as inclusive, welcoming, and accessible as possible for everyone. Below you'll find information about access to my counselling space, options for online and telephone sessions, the steps I take to make reasonable adjustments in line with the Equality Act 2010, and how I aim to make this website itself accessible to all visitors.

Physical Access to the Counselling Space
My practice is based in my private home. Please be aware:
-
The counselling room is not fully step-free – there are steps at the entrance and outdoor areas of the property.
-
This may mean the space is not suitable for wheelchair users or people with significant mobility difficulties.
-
If visiting in person is not possible, I offer secure online video counselling to any client, on request.
Adjustments I Can Offer
I am happy to discuss your needs and will make reasonable adjustments where I can, including:
-
Flexible appointment lengths or break times
-
Written materials in large print or digital formats
-
Extra lighting or quieter times for sessions
-
Welcoming assistance dogs
-
Adjusting seating arrangements or room layout where possible
-
Sensory-friendly adjustments for neurodivergent clients (e.g. lighting, seating, session pacing)
-
Live captions during online sessions (available through Google Meet)
What I Cannot Offer
As my counselling service is home-based, major structural changes (such as installing ramps or lifts) are not possible. If I cannot meet your physical access needs in person, I will do everything I can to offer a suitable alternative such as online or telephone sessions.
How to Discuss Your Needs
If you have a disability, long-term health condition, or any specific needs, please let me know when you book your appointment.
I will always:
-
Listen without judgement
-
Be clear about what is and isn’t possible
-
Work with you to find the best arrangement for you
